Power of the subconscious mind
3 Superpowers That Will Turbocharge You To Success
Can You Relate?

It just feels like there is this invisible money ceiling that you can’t seem to breakthrough. You try really hard with no success in sight.

Intention + Effort ≠ Results. You consistently put in the effort, but your results just don’t seem to reflect this. Frustrating.
If you are identifying with any of these situations, then this article is for you.
You are going to discover that your success is rooted in your subconscious mind and that you have the power to influence what’s in your subconscious mind.
The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind

You need to know how your subconscious mind works for you to be able to influence it and turbocharge yourself to success.
Your conscious mind contains all of your thoughts, memories, and feelings that you’re currently aware of and deal with daily.
Your subconscious mind also has thoughts, memories, and feelings, except you’re unaware of them.
It is said that 95% of our brain activity is subconscious.
Think about this for a moment.
Most of what you are thinking and believing, while you are unaware, is impacting your life! It’s in your best interest to be aware of what is in your subconscious mind.
So how do you know what’s in your subconciuos mind?
Look at your results!

Whatever you are seeing in your life right now reflects your subconscious mind. You can become conscious of what’s in your subconscious by looking at your life.
In your conscious mind, you may be thinking: “I will have all the money I need to live my dream life.” But if your subconscious mind is thinking, “I never seem to have enough money,” then failure is almost inevitable.
You know how each computer or mobile device has an operating system? It is the system upon which all other programs of the computer are run. Think Windows or iOS Operating System.
Well, you can think of your subconscious mind as the operating system upon which your life is run.
So, what results are you getting? What image do you have of yourself? What’s in your operating system?
Thankfully, we are not stuck with the beliefs and thoughts that are in our subconscious minds. If you do not like the results you are getting in your life, you need to learn how to change what’s in your subconscious mind.
Just like a computer program, you can update your operating system.
You can re-write that program that was installed during the course of your life. You can consciously install a program that will best serve you.
And when you do, when your self-image is aligned to what you want to consciously achieve, or what you consciously want to be, then magic happens.
And there are three superpowers available to you to do just that.
The Superpower Of Clarity

Your thoughts influence your actions, and your actions influence your results. It comes full circle when the results you get influence your thoughts.
The actions you take, and the results you get all come from how clear you are on what you want to achieve.
If you are clear on what you want, you send clear signals to your subconscious mind.
I am reminded of a story that Leanne told me.
Leanne’s story
Back in 2020, Leanne was attending a 13-month Elite Coaching Program. She wrote on her goal card that she would earn £5000 or more each month by being a personal development coach.
However, during the coaching program, Leanne’s financial results actually got worse, and she could not have been further away from her goal.
She was even struggling to come up with her mortgage payments.
However, Leanne was crystal clear of what she wanted to achieve; she kept the faith and kept moving on.
Fast forward another 8 months, and not only did Leanne do her first £5000 month, but her first-ever 5 figure month and built 7 income streams she absolutely loves.
When she told me this story, she was about to pick up her next dream car – a Ford Mustang that she test drove 17 months earlier!
…and it does not stop here – she booked herself and her partner on a dream holiday, and this dream holiday was on her vision board.
Note how Leanne had clarity of mind:
She named a specific figure, £5000 or more, and she was clear on how she would do it – by being a personal development coach.
She clearly wanted a Ford Mustang – heck, she went for a test drive 17 months before she could afford the vehicle!
…and what about you?
What do you really want?
Are you super clear on the destination that you are going towards?
If not, why not?
The Superpower Of Visualizing With Feeling

Ever heard of the reticular activating system (RAS)?
It’s part of your brain and starts above your spinal code. It’s about 2 inches long and about the width of a pencil.
All your senses come in through the RAS except the sense of smell.
At any given moment, we are exposed to a multitude of different sensory information.
We would go crazy if we were to process everything that we are exposed to. The RAS helps filter out the not-so-important stuff and lets the important stuff get into our minds.
The RAS is the reason why someone can hear the sound of their child crying in a playroom full of other screaming kids. Or the reason you can think of buying a particular make of a car, and you suddenly start seeing that car everywhere.
Your RAS takes what you focus on, what’s important to you, and creates a filter for it.
It then seeks information that validates your beliefs.
…and how is this linked to visualization?
Visualization is the act of forming vivid mental images of how you want your life to be. When you visualize, you see the future that you want to create, which helps create that future.
To your brain, there is a little difference between an intensely imagined vision and the actual experience. When you consistently visualize, you let your RAS know what’s important to you. This important information finds its way to your subconscious mind and becomes part of the program that your life is running.
You start seeing the people, information, and opportunities that help you achieve the goals that you have set for yourself.
Evoking the right feelings during visualization is vital; you need to feel the emotions you would feel when you achieve that goal you are working towards.
Visualizing is like putting a plug in a socket, and when you add emotion and feeling, it’s like turning the switch on to let the power flow.
Visualization in action
Some highly successful people attribute their success, in part, to the power of visualization; Oprah Winfrey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Harvey, Jim Carey, the list goes on and on.
Muhammad Ali said, “I am the greatest; I said that even before I knew I was.”
It is said that before a match, Ali would see himself being declared the winner with his one arm raised up by the referee. He would vividly see the flashing cameras and hear the roaring crowds.
Muhammad Ali won the match in his mind well before he stepped into the ring.
…and what about you?
Do you visualize, and how often do you do it?
Do you get up every morning and visualize the dream life that you want to live?
Do you feel the emotions that you expect to feel when you attain your goals?
And if not, why not?
The Superpower Of Writing Down Your Goals

Writing makes you focus on the important stuff
Being clear on what you want and writing it down is a powerful way of communicating your intent to your subconscious mind.
It helps creates a vision in your mind of your future self.
When you write down something, two things happen, external storage and encoding.
External storage is easy to understand.
You write something down, and it’s stored wherever you are writing it, and you can easily retrieve it. This can be on a piece of paper or electronically. You will, of course, remember something better if you are looking at a visual cue.
And there is encoding.
Encoding is the biological process where information is sent to your brain. The decision is made to store the data in long-term memory or to discard the information.
Writing improves the encoding process. If you write something down, there is a greater chance that you will easily remember it.
When you easily remember it, you can focus on it.
Writing things down doesn’t just help you remember; it makes your mind more efficient by allowing you to focus on the important stuff.
Meet Sheyla
It was 2004, and Sheyla woke up miserable with the way her life had turned out.
She was living in a 40m2 apartment with her now ex-husband, his mother, her four-year-old boy, and she had another baby on the way.
It was tough, and in this particular moment, she realized just how much she did not want to be living the life she was living anymore.
This particular morning, Sheyla decided that she needed to change the direction that her life was on. She wanted to move out and live in her own apartment.
She took a piece of paper and wrote down exactly what she wanted in a home for her and her children. She noted that she wanted three bedrooms, one master suite, two bathrooms, a living room, two parking garages, and mirrors everywhere.
She was specific and detailed, and she was so emotionally connected to what she was doing – she could feel it to her core.
As life would have it, 4 months after her second child was born, Sheyla was diagnosed with cancer.
It felt like her life was in tatters.
Two years later, Sheyla was still terribly unhappy, her health situation had deteriorated, and her marriage continued to fall apart.
She eventually moved out of her house with no place to live and two children. She ended up living with her mother.
After a while, she started to look for a place of her own to live.
She had managed to piece together a budget of about $75 000.
She soon realized that the apartments within her budget were not the kind of places that she wanted to raise her boys. Even the $100 000 apartments she started to view were not up to her expectations!
This one day, her estate agent told her of three apartments that she thought she would love.
When Sheyla walked into one of the apartments, she immediately felt at home. This was it!
She loved every detail of the apartment, and it was just as she had written it out 2 years before. The number of bedrooms, the parking garages, the mirrors, the cabinets. It was just like she had seen it in her mind and committed to paper.
It was incredible.
And even more incredible was the price tag, $235 000, just over 3 times the $75 000 budget that she had barely managed to squeeze out.
Despite this, Sheyla made an offer with a payment plan that the owner eventually accepted with minor modifications. Two and half years later, Sheyla had fully paid for her apartment, and in 2021, at the time of Sheyla telling her story, that apartment was worth well over $1m.
…and then there is Vivinne

Vivinne needed to move houses, and she spent some time looking at different apartments.
During her search, she got to view an apartment that she thought was so shabby that she really got upset that the owner would waste her time by showing her such an apartment.
Vivinne walked out rather angry.
When she got home, her next step was to take a small notebook and write down everything she wanted in an apartment. As she wrote down, Vivinne thought that some of her requests were unreasonable, but that did not stop her.
So this was the time of the economic downturn in the USA; she was not employed and was deeply depressed.
She wrote that she needed the rent to be below market rate, and she wrote the maximum amount she wanted to pay. She also wanted the home to come with a garden.
It had to be within walking distance to town, yet she wanted it to feel like it was in the country. She also needed the owner to be ok with cats!
The next day, Vivinne was looking at the newspaper, and one advert jumped out at her, and she immediately knew that she had found her home.
She went to see the owner and could not help asking why the price was that low. It turned out that the owner was a very wealthy woman, and she did not care much about the rental income.
It was a beautiful apartment, garden and all. The apartment was less than 10 min from downtown, but when you came into the street, one would think that it was in the country – it was treelined, and there was a walking trail. Just what Vivinne wanted.
…and yes, the owner did not mind cats!
Vivinne attributes this success to the fact that she was clear on what she wanted, she wrote it down, and she was emotionally connected to her desire.
…and what about you?
Do you have big goals that you write down multiple times and continuously refer back to them?
Are you letting your subconscious mind know what’s truly important to you?
It took Sheyla 2 years before the desire she wrote down came to be; it took Vivinne 1 day.
While you might not accurately predict the time it will take to get to your goals, you can completely control the act of writing your goals and setting the process in motion.
Ignite Your Superpowers

The moment to improve your situation is now, and you need to start with the foundation – your subconscious mind. You can influence your subconscious mind with the power of clarity, the power of visualization with feeling, and the power of writing down your goals.
When you use these superpowers, you help ensure that your “operating system” is aligned to exactly what you consciously want to achieve.
And, when you do that, you will break through that seemingly persistent money ceiling.
You will also help ensure that your intention and effort match your results.
